Possibly GREEN…Guidance to Help You Go Green

Do It  Yourself Tips to a Greener Existence

If you are someone that doesn’t believe in global warming, I think you should be the first to read this. I realize that is too much to ask for, so I will assume that you are someone who does care and is thinking about personally  doing something to help save our planet. Many of the ideas and tips set down in this article I do currently live by, however, it takes a very special individual to make this kind of a concerted effort of commitment. I can only assume that you are researching it to either improve your current green efforts, or to find out what it will take to completely go green. For those greenhouse gas skeptics, let’s just agree to cleanup the planet, for no other good reason than to restore its beauty. I have some ideas that will cost you nothing but effort to implement. I also will suggest some inexpensive and highly effective ways that will start saving you money almost immediately. We will start with the tips that will cost you nothing.

1.Keep a separate trash bag for all recyclable waste and not just the ones you can return for cash. If your municipality doesn’t offer separate recycle bins, call your representative and get a program implemented. They will make money. Also, if you have a garden, discarded fruits and vegetables as well as coffee grounds and egg shells make great mulch.

2.As we all know heating and air-conditioning takes up a great deal of energy and always cause a spike in your energy bill. A simple thing like wearing a sweater in the winter, and lowering the heater, just five degrees can make a big difference. Likewise in the summer turn the air conditioning down. Especially if there are only a couple of you in the house at a time. Fans take up no more energy than the average lamp. If you make these small sacrifices, you will see a big savings on your bill.

3.Start washing your clothes in cold water. Modern powders perform just as efficiently in cold water as hot. Most of the energy that goes into washing clothes is in heating up the water. So you will save on electricity, live green and save money too.

4. On sunny days think about hanging your clothes on an old fashion clothing line. You will not only save money, but your clothes will smell fresher.

5.Try to consume a little less of everything, from electricity, to gas in the car, to the food you eat. Take time to write out a shopping list, and stick to it. If you feel the impulse to buy something you don’t really need, get into the habit of waiting 24 hours, then review it. The chances are you either won’t want it any more, or will have forgotten all about it.

Well aside from a little effort, I don’t see any outlay of expensive for any of those projects. So now taking the old adage it takes money to make money, let us explore these possibilities. Keep in mind that you will not only recoup  your initial investment, but in a very short time your energy bill will reflect substantial savings.

Two Energy Saving Dynamos

Help Save the Planet and Lower Your Bill
1. Consider getting a new toilet cistern that will use less than two gallons of water per flush. Standard cisterns use about three and a half gallons. Because of plastics, this is no longer a big expense.

2. Compact fluorescent light bulbs are a dream come true for anyone who wants to live green and save money. They burn just 25% of the electricity that a standard light bulb burns, and they can last up to 10 times longer. Change your old bulbs today, or if must be frugal, as the current ones burn out. The two drawbacks that critics used to discredit the fluorescent that being the expense and the difference in lighting  that the bulbs give off,  have greatly diminished. The hue the fluorescent gives off, while still not the same has recently improved. I have seen these bulbs in the local dollar stores, so everyone can now take advantage of them.

Car Conversion and Renewable Energy You Can Do Yourself

What Use to Cost Thousands Can Be Done for Hundreds
If you want to completely go green, it is now possible to do-it-yourself and actually make money in some instances. If you have decided to look into do-it-yourself projects, here are some very affordable ideas for your consideration.

Car Conversion: There are basically three options when it comes to converting your car to green.

Bio-diesel and bio-fuels… Are not only stemming the tide of global warming but helping  support American agriculture. You can’t just dump a few gallons of vegetable oil in your tank however. You will ruin your engine. The conversion is grassroots technology, and for the most part a do -it- yourself process.

Electric…There are so many beautiful electric cars that are either on the market, or soon will be. However, if they go faster than 60mph or have a charge lasting longer than 40-50 miles, they have an exorbitant price tag. You can convert your car for a lot cheaper than you think.

HHO Technology…Although hydrogen cells are what most experts claim to be the fuel of the future, I have found a grassroots movement that uses water as fuel today. You will still  have to take the occasional trip to the gas pump, because water is supplemental to your gas or diesel fuel, and 100% water cars are still on the drawing board. Moreover,  extracting energy from water to double or triple your fuel economy is VERY EASY. This is not new technology. People have been using water to gas converters in vehicles for  years.

Renewable Energy: Residential solar and wind power cannot only help save the planet, but thousands of dollars in utility company cost. Many chose to go off grid, and still other’s actually make money by selling energy back to the utilities.

Solar is a much better option for residential installation than   wind power is. If at all possible, especially in windy areas, both forms of renewable energy are preferred. Besides the obvious reason for considering solar, the fact that it is a renewable non- polluting source of energy, you should also know that it has no moving parts to break down, and requires very little maintenance. Another very important aspect is that contrary to most contractors’ misconception it is not a difficult installation. For those of you who live or are considering living in extremely remote or rural areas if electricity is available it is usually expensive. In those cases solar power is undoubtedly the right way to go. However, even in areas where power lines are nearby, solar may still be a viable alternative to being connected to a power company. An average home has more than enough roof area to produce enough solar electricity to supply all of its power needs. All that is needed is an inverter,  which converts direct current (DC) power from the solar cells to alternating current (AC), which are what most home appliances run on. A solar home, except for the obvious changes to the roof, will look and operate just like any home does when it was connected to the power line.

No More Chemicals in My House

Imagine a home with zero chemicals. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the air we breathe inside our homes could be as much as five times as polluted as the air outside. These cleaning products expose you and your family to chemicals that could be more harmful than the germs they are trying to rid you of. Other studies have shown that the average American will, flush down the toilet, wash down a sink, or place in the garbage, more than 20 gallons of toxic and hazardous chemical products. It is all right to be conscientious about recycling or energy consumption, but think about the potential for affecting the health of people, plants, animals, land and water because of this waste.

If all of this seems overwhelming to you, do not threat because  you can have all the information you and your family needs to end your dependence on chemicals. Zero Chemicals- Chemical Free Living is a two-volume guide to chemical free-living options. You can use it to go completely without chemicals, or just choose what you feel is right for your circumstance. For every chemically based product, there is an equally effective and totally safe natural alternative. And the amazing thing is that you will actually save money with this method. With your new home environment you will see a change in everyone. They will feel a boost to their immune system, an energy explosion, and generally an improvement to their overall health.

The First Lady has made planting and growing your own garden, fashionable again. After years of eating supermarket food and other fast foods your body begins to store all of the toxins and chemicals. These toxins can affect your body in many ways. I will say that, for my wife and me, the last two years of having our own garden have been not only extremely healthy but  fun and mouth watering, as well. I had no idea that there is a system to growing a backyard garden, which entailed more than simply planting a bunch of seeds, watering and weeding. We struggled for a few years before we discovered the secret to growing an organic garden. I am sure that we are healthier for it. However, the taste is extraordinary, and, I promise, will be the first thing you notice.

I wish that we knew what we know now the first garden we planted. There is indeed a correct way of doing anything, and planting seeds is no exception. For example, I had no idea that the soil needs to be properly prepared, and that there are organic fertilizers that should be used. There are many dangers you should be aware of, including what exactly should be done with those pesky weeds. I found everything we needed to know in a guide quite appropriately named, My Organic Food Garden. Absolutely everything you need to know about organic gardening at home can be found in this guide. This book was written  so that the absolute beginner can setup a professional quality garden without the headaches.

Everything that I have shown you I have researched and, for your convenience put all the information in one place. My web site
Possibly GREEN gives clear insight and accurate reviews of the top online green living resources available. Besides information on the  main categories I have suggested, there are green money making opportunities as well as a guide to finding green jobs in your area. Also you will find a list of free going green resources, including Green Forums, where you can join a free like-minded community.

Treatment for Panic Attacks 3 Tips to Help You Cope

“I thought I was going to die. I felt my chest tighten and I was sure I was having a heart attack. I told myself I was too young to get a heart attack but I couldn’t breathe and I was already losing consciousness. I woke up in the hospital after a few hours.” This is the testimony of a real person who suffered a panic attack. These are one of those horrible conditions that can occur in people of all ages. The symptoms include a very fast heartbeat, difficulty in breathing, numbness of the hands and feet, fever-like sensations and a feeling that one is experiencing a heart attack. Often, people who suffer from panic attacks are seized with terror that they think they are already on the brink of death. The whole attack can happen in just a few minutes but the episode can leave a person feeling weak and terrified. Treatment for panic attacks can be done to alleviate the immediate symptoms and regular dosages of antidepressants like Paxil, Zoloft and various SSRIs (selective reuptake inhibitor).

However, a panic attack is primarily a psychological disorder that can be treated with the right attitude. Some doctors would contend that treatment for panic attacks would require medication combined with psychotherapy but some medical experts suggest natural remedies for fear of dependence on prescription drugs. Some people also fear that medication alone will only treat the underlying symptoms and not the root cause of the problem. There are many ways that panic attacks can be treated if not the episodes reduced exponentially. Here are a few suggestions:

A Healthy Diet
Although there are no scientific studies to actually connect food with panic attacks, it has been agreed that there are some food that aggravates and increase the risk of panic attacks. Caffeine is one of these culprits. People who tend to drink more than four cups of coffee or soda can increase there chances of having them. Alcohol as well as illegal drugs can also create a chemical reaction in the body making you prone to panic attacks. One suggestion is to try herbal teas of sage and chamomile, in lieu of caffeine to calm your nervous system.

Aerobic Exercises
Anything that can get your heart pumping for thirty minutes or more can help your body cope with stress better reducing the risk of panic attacks. The body needs physical exercise to benefit every organ in the body and promote circulation. Exercises can be as simple as brisk walking, gardening or even walking the dog around the block.

Deep breathing and meditation are great stress-management methods and considered by most as an appropriate treatment for panic attacks. Yoga advocates breathing from the abdomen making our oxygen intake deeper. The value of deep breathing cannot be stressed enough. It can relieve the body of more impurities adding health and vitality. With a stress-free mind, these are less likely to occur.

4 Tips For Help In Growing Better Carrots

So, you’ve decided to plant a vegetable garden and carrots are going to take pride of place.

Here are four tips to ensure that your carrots grow to be big and strong and make you the envy of all your neighbors.

1. Don’t plant your carrots in soil that has a lot of weeds. Try to turn the soil as much as possible and use weedkiller to get rid of the weeds. Ideally, you should use organic weedkiller if you can get your hands on some. Unfortunately, once the carrots start to grow, it becomes increasingly difficult to weed them.

2. Sow the seeds sparingly on top of the soil and cover with about 5mm of top soil. Mulching with straw or hay will help to keep the seeds moist, and this will also make it easier to water without disturbing the seeds. The plants need little other attention during their growth period, although the plants should be kept well watered – too little water results in coarse, woody roots.

3. Carrots love light, well-drained, fertile soils. A stone-free environment is ideal. Carrots are pretty finicky growers. Perfect soil for growing carrots is typically rich, with well-rotted organic material in it.

4. Start sowing the seeds 2-3 weeks before the last frost. One week before sowing your seeds, rake in a light dressing of general fertiliser. The temperature of the soil can be vital to the carrots, as they are cool-weather vegetables. They will almost certainly not germinate at temperatures below 5 degrees celsius. Germination will occur in around 10 days if the soil temperature is 10 degrees celsius.

From June to July onwards, start harvesting your carrots as soon as they’re big enough to eat. It’s best to harvest them in the evening to avoid attracting carrot fly. Many people are starting to grow their own fruit and vegetables in these tough economic  times. With proper care and attention, your carrot harvest should yield a crop that you can be proud of.

13 tips to help you find the best tax attorney

Don’t select an attorney from the phone book. Do some hard research to find a lawyer to handle your taxes the correct way. Here are 13 tips to help you find the best tax attorney to handle your back filings or tax resolution case.

What’s worse than having tax problems? Erroneously hiring the most unsuitable attorney for your case. Handling IRS tax filings has become a volume business for many lawyers, leaving many of them weary and incapable to attend to the detailed circumstances of all their cases. Tax settlement mills – strip-mall operations offering discounted services — have established store-fronts in many places. All this activity means that individuals facing the ultimate financial decision too often find themselves with legal tax services that are substandard to what they expect or need. “The day of the trial, my attorney doesn’t show up,” says Infonow, a junior member of a free law advice forum where tax law, legal ethics and lawyer malpractice is discussed.

Nobody wants a no-show or incompetent attorney, especially when it’s your financial well being hanging in the balance. That’s why you need to do some due diligence before hiring a tax lawyer.

Get going on your research

1. Don’t delay.

“Although you should not delay consulting a lawyer, you should learn as much as you can about your family’s finances as soon as possible.” explains Elayne B. Kesselman, Esq, a Former NYS Administrative Law Judge and a Member NYS Trial Lawyers Association. “Unless the lawyer asks for information, resist the urge to go into great detail on the phone about the problems you are facing. Save that for the initial consultation.” Waiting until the last minute won’t leave you enough time to find a good attorney. And it won’t give a good tax attorney enough time to adequately prepare for your case.

2. Don’t ask friends for referrals.

Unless your neighbor or fishing buddy has gone through a tax case, he or she won’t have any leads for you. Time is of the essence when searching for an attorney to handle your case, asking a friend will just waste time.

3. Do ask for recommendations from legal professionals.

Ponder who among your network of professional business contacts might know a tax lawyer. If you have a personal attorney, start there. Remind yourself that tax law is a specialty, so if your family lawyer offers to handle the tax case as part of your usual retainer, make sure he knows his way around the IRS tax court.

Also check local or state bar associations or professional organizations. Good places to ask include The National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), The National Institute of T ax Professionals (NITP), and your local legal aid society. (Legal aid societies won’t handle tax cases, but many keep a running list of tax attorneys.)

4. Investigate Enrolled Agent Certifications.

Many states have requirements for certification of lawyers specializing in tax law. Investigate your state bar or Board of Legal Specialization to make sure that your tax attorney is certified in your state. Find an Enrolled Agent when Possible. Enrolled Agents are the only taxpayer representatives who receive their right to practice from the U.S. government. The principal concern of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and its members is honest, intelligent and ethical representation of the financial position of taxpayers before the governmental agencies.

Spend a Day in Court

5. Spend a day at the US Tax Court.

Observing the attorneys in action can give you an idea of the lawyer you want representing you. At the court you also can find out which locals specialize in this specialty of law. And you can get a chance to talk to other individuals with tax disputes. “You don’t need to spend much time in court to quickly find out that most unrepresented taxpayers are not prepared for their day in court” writes Fred Hepner, a practicing Texas Attorney and Certified Public Accountant. “Going to tax court, just to lodge a protest, is a case that you will lose.”

6. If you are low on funds, find out who sits on the low income taxpayer clinics.

According to Nina E. Olson, founder and former Executive Director of The Community Tax Law Project and appointed the National Taxpayer Advocate in February 2001, “It has long been recognized that a fundamental unfairness arises within a tax system where some parties to a dispute are denied access to professional representation. With the availability of federal clinic funding, then, many more taxpayers will reap the benefits of professional representation.”

Look around and pose the right questions

7. Discriminate and evaluate the law firm’s office.

You’re not looking for how fancy a lawyer’s office is furnished, but how efficient an office it is, as well as the general environment. This office examination can give you essential telltale signs as to how a lawyer would handle your case.

“Look around the office and see how well organized it is. Is it neat, or are there 25 folders spread around the floor?” asks Judge Graves. “You wouldn’t go to a doctor with a dirty examining room and you don’t want to go to a lawyer with a disorganized office.

8. Ask questions.

Once you have some candidates, interview them or someone at the law firm. Be sure to ask:

How many tax cases do you manage per month or per year? How many of those tax cases are for individuals rather than corporate filings? How accessible will my attorney be during my tax case filings? If I’m not dealing directly with you (the lawyer handling may case), whom will I be dealing with? Can I interview the person with whom I would be working? What time frame do you have for this tax case? How will the process work?

This is an important decision, so if you get ambiguous answers, it’s probably a cautionary signal that this is not the firm for you.

9. Evaluate the responses.

Because tax law is a volume business, the duration that you’ll spend working with a specific attorney may be limited. In fact, with most consumer tax cases, the client works with a clerk or a paralegal; your actual attorney won’t come into play until your day in court. The paralegal does much of the work in preparation for trials may have to do the Federal Estate Tax and income taxes. Find out if your attorney who will complete and file the final status report on your behalf.

10. Go Over Your Role

Go over time frames and filing requirements with the firm, says Rick Hoagland, a partner and shareholder with the CPA firm of Moore, Ellrich & Neal in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Make sure you know what is expected of you; if you do your part, you’ll increase your chances of a successful filing. So a lawyer who briefs you on your role is probably a keeper.

Avoid the bargain-basement Tax Attorney

11. Don’t hire the cheapest lawyer.

will have a cheaper hourly rate than a great tax lawyer, they can’t do what a good tax lawyer can” says Michael Rozbruch, one of the nation’s leading tax experts. A Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS), licensed CPA and the founder of Tax Resolution Services.

Verify what the going rate is in your area. Your local bar association probably can help you determine whether a proposed fee is fair and in line with local standards. Anybody who charges too much or too little probably shouldn’t be your lawyer of choice.

12. Don’t allow for a surprise legal fee.

Question exactly what the costs of tax resolution are. What’s included in your lawyer’s fees? What’s not? In some complicated loopholes in tax code, for example, a forensic accountant may be needed. If that’s the case, is it included in your charges or is it an additional fee?

13. Keep involved.

Once you hire a lawyer, don’t be content to let him or her handle it alone. Double check all filings. Did any of your deductions get dropped off the list? Keep on top of your tax return filing will help ensure that the proceedings go smoothly and will keep your lawyer on his or her toes.

There are plenty of varieties know to grow well, are disease resistant, and yield large berries and bumper crops. Bluejay, Collins and Bluecrop are three types recommended for new gardeners and berry growers.

Ideal condition for growing blue berries

Many plants can adapt to different soil types and conditions. The blueberry plant however, has a specific soil type that it loves. What is it you ask? It needs acidic, well-drained soil, with high amounts of organic matter. When growing blueberries you want the soil PH to stay 4.5 to 5.2. Test kits are available online.

Placing the plant into the ground

Sandy soils will need organic material added. This material should be mixed in at a depth of one foot. The planting hole should be at least six inches deep. Adding compost or peat moss into the hole will help the growing blueberries become more plentiful.

Right and wrong methods of fertilizing the plant

To get the most out of your growing blueberry plant, proper fertilizing is key. These berries are sensitive to nitrogen. Too much fertilizer can kill young plants.  The first application of fertilizer should be applied after eight weeks of growth. A fertilizer for acid loving plants such as camellia and azaleas is recommended.

8 Tips to Help Prevent Unnecessary Fire Damage

1. Watch Outlets
Overloaded outlets commonly cause House and office fires. To be safe, always have a circuit breaker and keep an eye on how many watts you’re plugging in. If your house is old, you should have the electrical wiring checked every couple of years for safety.

2. Drape Carefully
Many fabrics and fabric coatings are highly flammable. Always check the flammability of curtains before hanging them anywhere near a floor or ceiling heater vent. It doesn’t even take a spark to light highly flammable material, some can catch flame just by direct hot heat.

3. Store Paper
Having stacks of paper laying around if a fire occurs can make a small fire a big fire in no time. The less paper you have out, the higher chance you have of stopping a fire before it really starts. Storing papers in filing cabinets or drawers is a great way to stay organized and safe at the same time.

4. Check Old Appliances
Old appliances such as old coffee makers, toasters, or even computers can be a dangerous fire hazard. Update your appliances immediately if they begin to smell smoky or work much less well. In addition, unplug any appliance after you’re done using it and store it away properly.

5. Don’t Smoke
Lit cigarettes dropped, improperly extinguished, or forgotten indoors cause a big chunk of house fires. Allowing smoking indoors is inviting a fire hazard right into your home. By having a smoking area outside with an appropriate ashtray you could be saving yourself from danger and stress in the future.

6. Fireproof Garden
Dry bushes, brush and plants around your home can also be quite a fire hazard. Water plants regularly to keep them safe, or remove promptly if you decide not to keep them any longer. Be sure not to have any vegetation near a fireplace or other source of heat within the home.

7. Check Your Roof
The most vulnerable part of you home during a fire is your roof. As the heat and smoke raises it will get trapped under the roof, until it caves in to the heat and flame. The more stable your roof, the better chance your house has. Fiberglass, concrete tile, clay, metal and slate are all great choices, while wood, shingles or slate are more apt to collapse in a fire.

8. Put Away Matches
Children and cats alike get curios with new objects. For this reason, put anything flammable or dangerous away at all times. Matches, gas, oil and lighters should all be stored safely, high up somewhere. Be sure to teach children thoroughly about fire dangers.

Global Warming 4 Tips To Help Slow it Down

Global Warming is happening, and it’s up to us to stop it. Every time we step into our car to run an errand, or buy take out for supper, we are adding to the affects our world’s over consumption of fossil fuels is having on the environment.

Global Warming isn’t just about adding a few degrees to the world’s overall temperature. It’s about melting ice caps that will slowly erode some of the world’s most fertile farmlands, making growing the food the world consumes harder and harder. It’s about people displaced in places like London, New York and Bangkok, because of rising ocean waters that will flood most low-lying homelands across the globe. And it’s about the spread of what were once inoculate diseases to the western world, like malaria and TB, as insects which thrive on higher temperatures continue to breed and spread diseases at a faster rate.

Global warming affects everyone. And it’ll take a little work from everyone across the globe to get it under control. It’s no longer “their” problem. It’s ours. Here are 4 things we can all do help reduce the amount of carbon dioxide being released (and trapped), into our atmosphere every minute of every day:

Conserve Electricity. There are dozens of ways every person on earth can conserve electricity every day – without interfering with the way we live our lives:

-Turn off lights, appliances, TV’s and computers when not in use. One computer monitor left on overnight uses enough energy to print more than 5,000 copies.

-Buy only energy efficient appliances.

-Wash clothes in cold water whenever possible.

-Wrap your water heater and keep the temperature at 130 degrees or lower.

-Install a programmable thermostat.

-Turn off the AC and open the doors and windows.

-Replace traditional light bulbs with newer, long lasting and energy efficient varieties.

Save Water. Everyday precious fresh water resources are lost to laziness and neglect. Help save the world’s water supplies by:

-Put a plastic bottle full of water inside your toilet tank. Toilets use between 3-5 gallons of water with every flush. By eliminating some room in the tank with the bottle, you’ll save up to 1 gallon of water every time it’s flushed.

-Fix leaky pipes and drippy faucets right away.

-Wash only full loads of laundry.

-Collect and use rain water to water plants, feed animals and wash outdoor furniture and cars.

Recycle and Reuse. It can take 5 years for a cardboard milk container to biodegrade in a landfill. Try these recycling tips to help save the earth:

-Fill those community-recycling buckets. Check with your municipality to see what types of items they offer recycling pickup for, and then kick all of your newspaper, magazines, junk mail and assorted paper products out to the curb. Don’t forget about your household plastics, aluminum and cardboard.

-Stop buying disposal utensils, plates, napkins and cups. Use washable items and save a ton of landfill space, as well as money.

-Reuse food containers such as mayonnaise jars, coffee cans, even those cute little plastic baby food containers. They’re great for storing leftovers and other small items.

Go Green. Get back into nature by:

-Plant a backyard garden or a few trees at the neighborhood park.

-Switch to all-natural cleaning supplies.

-Start a compost pile in your backyard or with a group of neighbors.
Buy organic.

-Eat only fresh fruits and vegetables. It’ll save on packaging waste.

Air Conditioner Maintenance TipsThese great tips will help you reduce your air conditioner repairs

The number one cause of mechanical failure is Dirt, so with that said let me tell you what you can do to help your air conditioning system run longer and more efficiently reducing the amount air conditioner repairs you will need.

The first and most important thing you can do is change your air conditioner air filter regularly. Most filters are easy to access and should be inspected once a month. I would recommend spending a little more money on a better air filter since this is what filters your indoor air and keeps dust particles from entering into your air handler unit and through out your air distribution system. Dust particles and airborne contaminants known as volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) can collect on the inside of your air handler and duct system causing indoor air quality problems. These problems are known to exaggerate allergies, headaches, sneezing, coughing  and asthma. So you can see why it is very important to change your filters regularly, this will help reduce your air conditioner repairs.

The second important tip is to keep a clear area around your outside air conditioning unit (condensing unit). Make sure to cut back bushes and keep all debris and leaves from gathering around the unit. The air conditioning unit needs as much air circulating through it as possible to keep your system running efficiently. This will also aid in air conditioning service if needed.

This leads into the next maintenance tip which is to keep the outdoor air conditioner unit coil CLEAN. This can be done by turning off the power to the outside unit and get a regular garden hose with a spray nozzle. Direct the spray through the coil on the outside unit to remove any dirt or build up that might be on the coil. This coil (condenser) acts just like the radiator in your car, if you blocked that up, your car would run inefficiently and probably overheat, the same thing is true for your air conditioner. A clean condenser alone will save you on energy costs and air conditioner repairs.

While you are cleaning the outdoor air conditioning unit you can also spray on car wash and wax to your exterior cabinet. This will help prevent the cabinet from rusting out prematurely and also keep your outside air conditioner unit looking good. After you have completed these steps let the unit dry out for 20 minutes before restoring power and turning the unit back on. Don’t forget to turn the breaker back on or you may end up having to call for air conditioning service.

The last tip I have is to keep your condensate drain line clean. Blocked drain lines can cause a good amount of damage if your air conditioning unit is in a finished part of your home. The easiest way to keep the drain line clear is to add one cup of white vinegar to drain line. This helps prevent the build up that occurs in the drain line and keeps things flowing.  Most systems have an access tee that you can add the vinegar through. This is one of the most common air conditioner repairs that we experience in the spring.

These are all things you can do as a homeowner and will help your system run more efficiently with and reduce the chances of an air conditioner repair. I do recommend that you call out a professional air conditioning service and installation company at least one time per year to do a complete precision air conditioner check up. Organic Foods can help with Male Infertility Problems

Organic foods have been linked to many different positive things for people. One of them that is getting plenty of attention right now is that it can help with male infertility problems. Before you spend a ton of money on fertility testing and treatments you may want to find out if this type of change can work for you.

First of all, let me explain a few things about why this may work. When it comes to being able to have a high sperm count, not all men can achieve it with their current lifestyle. Consuming more fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the changes that are encouraged. If you are overweight they can help you to slim down and that too can help increase the chances of conception.

They also help you to have more energy than foods loaded with carbs so you have extra energy. That energy means you won’t be as likely to blow off exercising. That is important because when you exercise you take in more oxygen and you get the blood to circulate better throughout your body.

Fresh fruits and vegetables have plenty of essential vitamins and nutrients that your body needs to be healthy. Those vitamins and nutrients can also help you to improve your sperm count. However, you may not realize that the processing for most fresh fruits and vegetables is done in a certain way. Part of that process involves spraying pesticides and herbicides to cut down on pests and weeds during the growth process.

These are harmful chemicals that are toxic and when you consume those foods you get them in your body. The more of these foods you consume the more you have them in your body. Don’t kid yourself into thinking that the washing process done before they sell them or that you do at home will remove all of that residue because it won’t.

Those toxins can lower your sperm count and even damage your sperm. That is why you only want to consume fresh fruits and vegetables that are organically grown. They don’t have any herbicides or pesticides used in that process. Everything is closely monitored by the FDA so even how they handle the food is free from chemicals. In fact, a farm must be completely chemical free for a period of five years before it can market foods as being organic in nature.

You will find a great selection of organic foods at some farm markets and at various grocery stores. More locations out there offer them due to the consumer demand for them. While the prices are slightly higher you are getting foods that are great for you and may help increase your chance of conceiving a child. This is a safer and more affordable route than other procedures.

You can also grow your own organic foods at home in a garden that you create. There is plenty of terrific information online about the best way to accomplish this. One tip is that you don’t want to buy too much of these items at once because they will rot faster than other products. They don’t have any preservatives sprayed on them which is the reason why.

What you eat is important for your overall health, and experts agree that it is also important when it comes to the issue of male infertility. Making such a change to your diet can allow you to successfully have a child. Of course you want to consult with your doctor to make sure there aren’t other health problems that are preventing that from occurring as well.

Organic food is accepted by more and more people. The Organic Grocer is an online organic food Sydney based retailer. They provide organic delivery in a wide area of Sydney. Eg: delivery organic food central coast, delivery organic food penrith and organic food blue mountains.

3 Garage Organizer Tips to Help Sell Your Home

What does a garage organizer have to do with selling your home? Well, it is a tough market right now, so anything you can do to make your home more appealing can make a difference between whether someone chooses your home or another one. When selling a home, a seller naturally looks at what they can do to increase outside curb appeal, and do small things inside to make the home look larger and more airy. But one area that is often overlooked is the garage.

A garage is used for a lot of things in a home, so it is important to make it as appealing as the rest of the house. Many realtors give you a basic check list for getting your house ready to sell, but not much in the way of garage organizer tips to help present this part of your in the best light possible. Here are 3 tips I learned to prepare the garage for a home sale.

Now, in the first home we sold, there was no garage, so I didn’t give it any thought. But the home we sold this summer we had a 2 car garage. Our first impulse was to use the garage for storage. Not very bright, tons of boxes stacked in the garage does not help it to look bigger! It is amazing how small a cluttered garage can look, it makes a buyer ask, can I really get two cars in here? You are probably packing up a lot of your extra stuff to help make your house look roomier, but don’t store all that stuff in your garage, get a storage unit. It is only short term, and is well worth the money if it keeps your garage from getting cluttered. Get a basic garage organizer. There are a lot of great options available to help you organize your garage. After all, you don’t want your garage totally empty, you want to stage it so that it looks like a good, usable space. Here are a few garage organizer ideas: Shelves – perfect for storing boxes, camping and other outdoor items. Wall units – these will really catch a perspective buyers attention because they will say a lot about you being a highly organized person! These walls are designed to be highly customizable. You set up a variety of hooks, small shelves, bins and cabinets on the wall and use them for hanging garden tools, storing sports equipment, and a whole variety of other items that are typically kept in a garage. Overhead storage shelves – these are cool! Great for storing items not accessed very often. Plus, they free up the floor for other uses. Any home buyer would be excited to see one of these in a garage. Cabinets – These come in assorted sizes and configurations, but they are great for storing items while keeping them hidden behind closed doors, making your garage look even neater. There are other garage organizer items available, but any of those mentioned above is a great place to start. Plus, most are mobile, so you can take them with you to help organize your new garage from the very beginning. Clean your garage. Sweep it out really well, spray it down, perhaps even apply some concrete cleaner to remove stains. If stains are really set in, then you could consider an inexpensive garage flooring option, such as interlocking tiles or roll out mats.

These ideas can really make your garage stand apart from others. And though someone is not going to buy your house because they love your garage, it can be the thing that tips the scale in your favor. So remember, use a storage unit, clean up your garage, and use a great garage organizer system to help your home stand apart from the competition.
